I think Friend or Foe is a good book to read because it teaches you about things which happen in life and that you should care for one another. This story is based in World War 2. Two young kids get separated from their family and are sent away from home with lots of other school children. They misbehave and nobody want to take care of them. But then, gradually someone comes along who says “no one deserves to be left behind”. Later on in the book the children see a German plane , and no one believes them. Not even the army and they get laughed at. However, a German soldier saves one of them but he is ill and injured. He asks them for food and water. But what do the boys do? Do they help the Germans or do they become heroes and famous for finding the Germans behind the moor? Read this book to find out.
