Litcham Cluster Reading Club

Each year eight books are chosen for review by our Litcham Cluster (Primary School) Reading Club. Where possible we chose recently published fiction, from a range of authors and genres which will appeal to both boys and girls. The object of the reading group is to encourage students to try books, which they might not have necessarily chosen for themselves to broaden their reading experience and hopefully provide some interesting discussions.

The books are rotated between the cluster primary schools on a four-weekly basis, so that, by the middle of May, each group will have had the opportunity to read all of them. When all eight titles have been read by each group, we will hold a Litcham Cluster Reading Club event at Litcham School Secondary Phase, where pupils are given the opportunity to discuss the books they have read, play games and vote for the overall best book. Alongside the primary pupils, a group of students from the secondary phase also read the books and help to run the event.
