World Book Day Storytelling at the Primary Phase

132Philippa, Katie and Scarlett in Year 8, visited the Primary phase of our school on Thursday 3rd March, to tell a story to Red Robins and White Doves class, in celebration of World Book Day. The book that they read was “The First Hippo on the Moon” by David Walliams. They did a superb job and really engaged the pupils and staff with their funny voices, roleplay, actions and interesting noises (especially the noises!!)  The Red Robins and White Doves were a brilliant audience – they really listened well and joined in with the story and actions with enthusiasm.

All the pupils in Red Robins and White Doves were given a special poster of the book to colour in (thank you to Kirsten from the Norfolk School Library  Service for the donation). Philippa, Katie and Scarlett will judge the best poster from each class next week. The winners of the colouring competition will each receive a copy of the book, which were kindly donated by the Friends of Litcham Secondary Phase.

Thank you Philippa, Katie and Scarlett for the brilliant story telling. Mrs B

“The trip to the primary school was brilliant. We found out some of the students favourite book characters and it was great to see them all dressed up. The classes really enjoyed the story and many were keen to get involved. Overall the trip was great fun.” Scarlett
